The Sprint Power VisionSM network—the nation’s largest wireless broadband network--with the Sprint Mobile Broadband Connection Card by Sierra Wireless™ (AirCard® 595). Access your company network and databases, send and receive email with attachments, and surf the Web with ease.

The AirCard® 595 is equiped with a new chipset that supports increased upload and download speeds available with the upgraded Sprint Mobile Broadband technology beginning in late 2006. This device is backward compatible with all versions of the Sprint Vision and Power Vision networks.

Sierra Wireless has redesigned their antenna with a built-in designed to improved performance.

Packaged with Sprint PCS Connection Manager SM Software for connectivity to the Sprint PCS Power VisionSM Network.

Mobile Broadband Capable:
With the evolution to EV-DO Revision A, users in markets where it is rolled out, will experience faster average download speeds of 450 – 800 kbps: and average upload speeds of 300 – 400 kbps.

Security:
Employs CDMA wireless technology authentication and identification system for top-notch security. The Mobile Identification Number (MIN) and Electronic Serial Number (ESN), together with CDMA spread spectrum technology, make it virtually impossible for unauthorized users to capture and decipher messages and other sensitive information.

Antenna:
A new built-in antenna with no moving parts, high strength plastics and a sleek low profile industrial design for improved durability and usability. A new robust antenna connector is also provided (hidden under removal rubber cap) for attaching an optional external antenna.

Software:
Easy-to-install, easy-to-use software provides a common look and feel across connectivity products from Sprint. With minor Rev A updates, familiar signal strength, byte counter, network type and other connection parameters are displayed on the user interface. Self-diagnostic tools, an intuitive “Go/Stop” button for network access, connection type switching (1X only or 1X/EV-DO modes) and a detailed Help File enhance the user experience.

Network Driver Interface Specification (NDIS):
The AirCard® 595 incorporates Windows NDIS (in addition to DUN) functionality for improved interface between the PC Card and the Windows operating system. NDIS is a selectable feature in Connection Manager that for Sprint customers means increased Notebook PC battery life (due to reduced CPU utilization), the ability to auto connect when the device is inserted, and faster connection after Windows “Resumes” from “Standby” or “Hibernate” states.

Software Developers Kit(SDK):
Fully supported SDK and forum provides application developers with the “hooks” needed to develop custom enterprise applications with the AirCard 595. Development efforts will be backwards compatible with AirCard 580.
